We take whatever you spent on the perpetual license off of the full amount of MODO 901 full. I need a copy of your invoice from Steam though and generally it would be an upgrade from your perpetual license. You can totally upgrade to MODO 901 full from the indie version. I hope this clears up this recent training release on Valve's side. Also keep in mind that since MODO indie (801) to 901 we have MeshFusion built in and expanded the feature list even more while also unlocking the file lock for user files being tied to your Steam account and also just recently TGA export support. All of the feture limitations are clearly stated on the store page and in the FAQ. I don't know if the disclaimers have been added yet, which I will check on now. Shane and I were caught off guard by the training that was released on Valves end so we at least asked them to add a disclaimer to the videos they released. Once the videos were posted from Valve I noticed that they were Tor Fricks awesome tutorial videos, but the issue there is that Tor was using MODO 901 full and he utilizes a lot of scripts and extra plugins in his workflows which MODO indie 901 will have an issue with since Python Scripting is locked (Similar to Maya LT) and plugins aren't available yet (Kits, Plugins and Training in progress as I promised you all). We were given very short notice (Like day of short notice) that this was going to take place and that MODO indie was to be included in the sale along with some tutorials they sourced elsewhere in the community. The current sale that occured last week was due to Valve releasing a new video tutorial training guide area of the Steam store for software that they sell on Steam. Why would the tuts have an issue I thought indie and full were the same, besides poly count, plugin and such? What other tools are different? Have I been mislead?Ĭlarification Time is the best time right? It's not our fault, but this move will still cause a lot of confusion for users I fear. We had no info on our end until Valve went live with their new campaign. I also wanted to point out that the tutorials that Valve has for sale that are not official Foundry tutorials and are using MODO 901 full so there will be things in them that you cannot complete. Thank you for thanking us, but you can honestly thank Valve since they just sort of up and did it to go along with their training tutorial guide promotion. These days, need to save money any way I can, when you have a small company.! Thanks again for the sale, I only buy stuff on sale. Once I make more money from my company, I may get Modo full in the future.
I have Maya, but I been wanting to get Modo for awhile. I use Zbrush for scuplting anyways, and I also own Mudbox. Originally posted by Recon:Bought thanks for the sale.
